Almost nothing to collect.

Minkey has no sign-up, no sign-in and no email collection. There is no user record to attach anything to.

Your research history is stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB, and your daily free-run counter is stored in localStorage. Neither is uploaded. Clearing your browser storage — or using the “Clear all” control in the workspace — removes them permanently.

The text you submit is sent to Minkey's server so it can be turned into a literature search and passed to the configured AI provider along with the retrieved abstracts. Minkey does not write your queries to a database.

Requests are rate limited using a coarse key derived from the request's IP address, held in memory only, to keep the free tier usable. It is not used to build a profile.

Literature searches are made against Europe PMC, Crossref and ClinicalTrials.gov. Those services receive the generated search terms, not your original text.

Synthesis is performed by the configured AI provider, which receives your input and the retrieved abstracts, subject to that provider's own terms.

If you paste a URL, Minkey's server fetches that page directly to read its text.

Please avoid entering personally identifying details or someone else's medical information. Minkey is designed for questions about evidence, not for records about a person.
